The settlement is located on the southern shore of the Dardanelles, 2km northeast of Kumkale. From a spur that is slightly protruding into the straits the settlement spread to the southwest. So far no excavations have been made. Surface finds date to the Early Bronze Age (Troy I) and the Late Bronze Age (Troy VI).
