Çal Dağ, Kebren
The settlement is located between the villages Çalköy and Akpınar Köyü in the district of Bayramiç. Two hilltops, Çal Dağ in the south and Fuğla Dağ in the north, are connected by a long wall thus forming the acropolis of the ancient settlement Kebren. Architectural remains date to habitation since the 5th century BCE. In Hellenistic times the city minted coins. J. M. Cook visited the site in 1966 and found some Troy VI pottery. Homer says in the Iliad that an illegitimate son of Priam was resident there.
