Pekmez Höyük is located 4.5 km northwest of the village Bucak on the western side of Işıklı Lake in the district of Çivril and the province of Denizli. So far, no excavations have been made. The size of the settlement is not recorded, but the tell is easily identified in aerial photographs. According to Eşref Abay and Fulya Dedeoğlu, the settlement was continously inhabited throughout the Bronze Age.
