The tell is located near the entrance to the village Yassıhöyük, 13.2 km south of Çivril in the province of Denizli. The modern road to and from Çivril passes by right at the tell. Some of the fromer settlement suffered from the road construction. So far, no excavations have been made.
Surface finds indicates that the Höyük was inhabited continuously from the late Chalcolithic until the Islamic period. During the Early Bronze Age II period it may have settlement covered as much as 30 hectares.
