The tell is located within the limits of the modern village Kavak Köyü, 15 km south of Çivril. The exact location is not recorded. According to the information provided by Eşref Abay and Fulya Dedeoğlu, the settlement was recently about 7 m high. The real extent cannot be determined because of recent destruction. So far, no excavations have been made. Surface finds indicate that the first habitation dates back to the late Chalcolithic. Ceramic specimens that were collected are similar to Beycesultan 34-29. Pottery was also found from all Bronze Age periods. Again, these are similar to the material culture of nearby Beycesultan. The place appears to have been inhabited still during the Hellenistic-Roman period.
