Yaln\u0131zca sekiz santimetre y\u00fcksekli\u011finde olan bu k\u00fc\u00e7\u00fck g\u00fcm\u00fc\u015f kadeh y\u0131lanlar, kimera fig\u00fcrleri, tanr\u0131lar ve g\u00f6k cisimleri tasvirleriyle s\u00fcslenmi\u015ftir. 1970 y\u0131l\u0131nda Yahuda Da\u011flar\u0131\u2019nda (Bat\u0131 \u015eeria) ke\u015ffedilen eserin anlam\u0131 bug\u00fcne dek gizemini korumu\u015ftu.  <\/p>\n<p>Yeni \u00e7al\u0131\u015fmada Eberhard Zangger, Daniel Sarlo ve Fabienne Haas Dantes bu sahneleri bilinen en erken kozmolojik betimlemelerden biri olarak yorumlamaktad\u0131r. Merkezde yer alan motif, iki tanr\u0131 taraf\u0131ndan ta\u015f\u0131nan bir \u201cg\u00f6ksel tekneyi\u201d g\u00f6stermektedir \u2013 bu, Eski Yak\u0131n Do\u011fu\u2019da G\u00fcne\u015f ve Ay\u2019\u0131n g\u00f6ky\u00fcz\u00fcnde ta\u015f\u0131n\u0131\u015f\u0131n\u0131 simgeleyen kadim bir sembold\u00fcr. \u00d6nceki varsay\u0131mlar\u0131n aksine, r\u00f6lyefler tanr\u0131sal bir sava\u015f\u0131 de\u011fil, bar\u0131\u015f\u00e7\u0131l bir yarat\u0131l\u0131\u015f eylemini betimlemektedir: G\u00fcne\u015f do\u011far, kaosu da\u011f\u0131t\u0131r ve d\u00fcnyay\u0131 yeniden d\u00fczenler. Bu betimleme Babil yarat\u0131l\u0131\u015f destan\u0131 Enuma Eli\u015f\u2019ten bin y\u0131ldan daha eskiye tarihlenmektedir. Kadehin yakla\u015f\u0131k M\u00d6 2300 dolaylar\u0131nda Kuzey Suriye\u2019de yap\u0131ld\u0131\u011f\u0131, yakla\u015f\u0131k M\u00d6 2200 civar\u0131nda G\u00fcney Levant\u2019ta bir mezara g\u00f6m\u00fcld\u00fc\u011f\u00fc d\u00fc\u015f\u00fcn\u00fclmektedir.    <\/p>\n<p>Benzer bir sembolizme sahip yeni tan\u0131mlanm\u0131\u015f bir nesne olan Lidar H\u00f6y\u00fck prizmas\u0131, bu yorumu daha da g\u00fc\u00e7lendirmektedir.
